Our annual conference was a resounding success! More than 500 attendees came to hear 41 panelists. Lawmakers, public officials, labor leaders, city council members, heads of NGOs, journalists and activists came together to discuss both the challenges and successes of the movement for social justice in Israel.

Carmel Veber is a first year social-communal work and economics student at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Carmel volunteers in “Osim Shinui” (Social Worker making a change) and in “Pa’amonim” organization (economic counseling for families in debt). She has worked on creating local leadership and a thriving community with residents of different neighborhoods in Jerusalem.
